The 2023 International AI Cooperation and Governance Forum, co-organized by Tsinghua University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), was held at HKUST on December 8-9, 2023. Concordia AI co-hosted and moderated the “Frontier AI Safety and Governance” sub-forum on the afternoon of December 9.
A major highlight of this forum was the first public release of the “Best Practices for Frontier AI Safety (Draft for Comments).” After more than a month of expert feedback, we carefully revised the document based on all the valuable comments received, and officially released “Best Practices for Frontier AI Safety: Research and Development Practices and Policy Construction Guide for Chinese Institutions.”
This report outlines promising ideas, emerging processes, and relevant practices in today’s AI safety field, serving as a reference and guide for frontier AI institutions in safety policy development.
