Background
As a key member of the operations team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company runs efficiently and smoothly, coordinating organizational work across multiple domains, supporting executive decision-making, and enhancing the team’s operational efficiency.
We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills – a generalist capable of handling and balancing multiple aspects of company operations.
Responsibilities
(The following responsibilities can be adjusted based on the candidates’ professional background, personal interests, and business needs; an Operations Manager will not be expected to undertake all the responsibilities listed below simultaneously. )
- Financial Management
Oversee financial operations, including cash flow management, financial analysis, routine financial processing, and auditing. - Media Communications & Event Planning
Develop media and communications strategies, participate in content creation and publication initiatives across various platforms; plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external meetings and events. - Human Resources
Assist in developing and implementing company policies, champion company culture and team building activities; participate in recruitment and maintain talent networks. - Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure company policies and procedures comply with legal regulations, assess and monitor compliance risks; collaborate with legal counsel on legal affairs, regulatory matters, and contract management. - Other Operational Management Responsibilities
Ensure smooth daily company operations, including operational process optimization, office management, etc.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or above, any major.
- 3-6 years of work experience.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, with the ability to think strategically, learn quickly, and adapt to new challenges
- Strong data analysis skills with proven proficiency in processing and interpreting large datasets, including complex financial information
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities in effectively collaborating with team members and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Outstanding project management and execution skills, with flexibility in managing tasks based on time and priorities.
- Strong problem-identification and problem-solving skills, passionate about improving operational efficiencies and empowering others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Fluent in written and oral Chinese and English
Preferred
- International study/work experience or project experience.
- Experience working at startups, think tanks, or non-profit organizations.
- Experience in project coordination and management.
- Familiar with productivity software such as Asana and Airtable.
